My name is Sam and I was born in a refugee camp with no country to call home. Thousands of displaced Laotians were granted a path to the United States due to the Refugee Act of 1980. As a naturalized citizen and historian, I am horrified by the hostile climate we are living in this time. The Karmic Refuge began with an intent to create space for those needing healing, shelter from the storms people were enduring in their lives. I have learned many universal lessons and human lessons and now I'm paying it forward.
